One
of the best ways to expand your ideas, opinions and
knowledge of the medium of photography, is to read about
it. The history of photography is short compared with
many other art forms, just as the market for it is also
relatively young. The process of becoming informed,
inspired and educated on the subject is therefore far
less daunting than you may think.
This
guide aims to help you discover which artists, era or
sensibility appeals to you. Exploring books on or about
photography can be a wonderful way to develop and educate
your own personal photographic 'eye'. It will help you
to focus, edit and select from the many photographs
which you will see in your travels and explorations,
and eventually to decide which ones will end up on your
wall!
Many
wonderful photographic books were originally published
in small numbers and are now out of print. We are happy
to source any titles that are of particular interest,
or to help you put together a collection to complement
your photographic prints.
